East Midlands: questions landlords ask
When must I register a rental property in East Midlands?
East Midlands's registration period runs from 15 February 2027 to 14 May 2027. Occupied properties must be registered before midnight on 14 May 2027. You may register earlier, from 15 December 2026.
How much will I pay if I register on 15 February 2027?
£16.38 for that property's first year if it is your first registration: (65 / 365) × (365 − 273), rounded down. Your renewal date would be 15 February 2028.
And if I leave it to the last day, 14 May 2027?
£32.14: (65 / 366) × (366 − 185), rounded down, with renewal on 14 May 2028. Registering later raises the first bill but pushes your first renewal back by the same time.
I also have properties outside East Midlands. What should I do?
You can register them all on one day, as long as that day is on or before the earliest end date among your regions. Every property then shares one renewal date.
How do I know my property is in East Midlands?
